Mirmidoes – Sávio Leite e Clécius Rodrigues – 3´- 2001
Uma visão apocalíptica dos tempos atuais. Através de personagens de desenho e massinha mostra-se um mundo povoado de pessoas estranhas lidando cada uma á sua maneira com a perda da inocência. O vídeo faz uma referencia aos mirmidões, os fieis soldados de Aquiles na guerra de Tróia. Ate hoje costuma-se dar este nome a fanáticos seguidores de algum chefe político.   

Marte - Sávio Leite e Clécius Rodrigues – 8´- 2003
Marte, o terrível deus da guerra, dono de um selvagem amor pela violência, inspira os pesadelos da sociedade do século XXI.

Plutão - Sávio Leite e Clécius Rodrigues – 3´- 2004
Plutão, um pouco receoso sai do reino de Tártaro e vê a luz do sol. Mas voltar a atmosfera inferior está a dificuldade.

O Vento  - Sávio Leite –9´- 2004
Em um tradicional bairro de Belo Horizonte, o vento vai passando e atrapalhando a vida dos moradores, até o momento em que ele resolve aprontar com o sacristão da igreja. Embora o vento seja uma força sobrenatural e faça de tudo para infernizar o sacristão, este conta com uma ajuda divina.

Aeroporto - Sávio Leite – 4´- 2005
Somos iguais nos aeroportos. Sem asas, vamos voar. O antes, o durante, o depois movimentam sonhos, dúvidas, ânsias, desejos. Ainda que revestidos por asas mecânicas nossa humanidade é checada, na turbulência. O pouso nem sempre repousa. Mas o vôo é necessário. Novos horizontes, nuvens  o tempo e o vento nos acompanham e acalentam. Boa viagem.

Por um lado a idade de ouro, da inocência e da pureza. Por outro lado um monstro que devorava seus filhos.

Vênus – Filó a fadinha lésbica - Sávio Leite – 6´- 2017
Da espuma do mar, fecundada pelo sangue do céu, nasceu Vênus, deusa encantadora. No conto de fadas animado Filó, uma fadinha lésbica com dedos ágeis, seduz as mulheres de dia, vestido como menino. Mas à noite algo estranho acontece e logo metade da população da Vila do Troço está ansiosamente em fila.

‚Pan & Circus‘ ist ein alter Ausdruck, der die Geschichte von Politik und Kultur geprägt hat. Aber hier ist auch das Treffen zwischen veganes Essen und unabhängige und kulturelle Veranstaltungen.

Die dritte Edition bringt die Reprise von Kurzfilme der brasilianische Filmmaker Sávio Leite, der eine Animation in der Berlinale 2017 präsentiert hat. Auch projektieren wir zwei videos und eine Video Installation der brasilianische Filmmaker Felipe Frozza, in Kollaboration mit der deutsche Performerin Rike Flämig.

Für dies Pan & Circus haben wir diesmal zwei Konzerte, ein mit der Band Glorias Navales, aus Chile, die einen Tour in Europa erstes Mal macht. Die Chilene Band spielt eine Mischung von chilene folk Musik, psychedelia und experimental.
Und die Nacht beginnt mit Lolita Terrorist Sounds, ein Projekt von Maurizio Vitale. Er macht am 25.04 ein experimental solo set anhand von drumming, live looping und Gesang.

GLORIAS NAVALES (GxNx) is a five members ensemble based in Santiago, Chile. The group get together regularly in a private space to jam out a type of late night campfire trance music, bridging the gap aesthetically and stylistically between Chilean folk music (ala Violeta Parra) and ramshackle post-Velvets psychedelia. Their sound – crafted on acoustic guitars, rabel and bombo chino (drum) – have resulted in stunning releases; ‘Carta a Maureen Tucker’ ETCS and ‘Cofradia Nautical’ on Graham Lambkin’s KYE label.
Some members of Glorias Navels come from the experimental band A Full Cosmic Sound and are the heads of the label Yellow Moon Records in Santiago.

LOLITA TERRORIST SOUNDS is the stage name of Maurizio Vitale and very often includes special guests and collaborators. He’ll perform a solo set based on drumming, live looping and singing.
Maurizio Vitale is an Italian-born musician and is active in a number of artistic fields as drummer, music producer, multi-instrumentalist musician, performer, singer and movie actor.
L.T.S. is currently working on a debut album featuring as special guests Kristof Hahn (Swans), NU Unruh (Einstruzende Neubauten), Bob Rutman.

‚Pan & Circus‘ ist ein alter Ausdruck, der die Geschichte von Politik und Kultur geprägt hat. Aber hier ist auch das Treffen zwischen veganes Essen und unabhängige und kulturelle Veranstaltungen.

In unsere zweite Edition bringen wir Kurzfilme der brasilianische Filmmaker Sávio Leite, der eine Animation in der Berlinale 2017 gezeigt hat. Auch projektieren wir zwei videos und eine Video Installation der brasilianische Filmmaker Felipe Frozza, in Kollaboration mit der deutsche Performerin Rike Flämig.
Das Konzert mit Patrick Weh Weiland schließt die Nacht mit einem einzigartigen Berliner Trash-pop.
Auch machen wir reprise von experimental videos von Grilowsky, Lola Lustosa und Manu Sobral, die in der erste Veranstaltung präsentiert waren.

In this animated short film, Filly, a lesbian fairy with nimble fingers, seduces women by day dressed as a boy. But at night something strange happens and soon half the population of Whatsit Village are eagerly queuing up.

Sávio Leite lives in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and studied visual arts at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. He is a video artist, short film director and animator and has already worked on numerous cinema projects. He lecturers in animation and is a founder and curator of a MUMIA International Animation Underground Festival in Belo Horizonte. He has been a jury member for various festivals. His own films have screened at around 200 festivals in over 30 countries.

Saturno - Festval Video Art Miden - Video Art Project Space - Milão - Itália

Video Art Miden travels to Milan, Italy, to present a selection of international video art works at [.BOX] Video Art Project Space, from 16 to 25 of February, 2017. The program "E wide shut", initially presented in Miden main events last July in Kalamata, is curated by Giorgos Dimitrakopoulos and brings together videos from USA, UK, Mexico, Poland, Turkey, Israel, Brazil, Germany, Japan and Iran, in which music, sound and optical rhythm play a dominant role.
